Day Two

After packing up camp we headed to the corn palace. It is the best corny spot west of the Mississippi. Paige put it best when she said, "It was okay".
Then it was off to the badlands. I hope the kids realize all the beauty that is surrounding them. We had a great time climbing the cliffs. Dalton was a little unsure at first but at the end he was scaling the walls like Spider Man!!! Fearless Elyse made me nervous; I could just see my little baby tumbling off the cliff. After a late lunch on the badlands we continued our drive to Hill City SD. Doug is leading the license plate game with 25 plus 2 Canadian provinces. The kids are getting along really well. I have only heard, "Stop touching me!" once. Elyse has actually perfected the art of sleeping and eating pretzels at the same time. I have a great video.
The campground is great. It has a spray park, pool, basketball court and playground. The forecast last night was for scattered thunderstorms. Thank God we only had strong winds. I guess our tent pitching aren't too bad because we didn't blow away.
Here are some pictures. Enjoy!
