Our first stop in Salt Lake City was Temple Square. We spent a little time enjoying the beauty of the Mormon temple and surrounding grounds. Paige was very interested in Mormon and Catholic similarities and differences.
Next, lunch was at Moochies Meatballs. Doug saw this on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It was soooo yummy. As we waited in this tiny restaurant, filled with customers shoulder to shoulder, Paige said, "this place must have good food, there's not enough room for everyone". She was right. We made a little picnic a block away in a bank's front yard under a tree. It was perfect. A little, old, weathered woman walked by after we finished saying grace and she yelled, " Bless it an enjoy it!". So we did.
After lunch we stopped at a living historic village that recreates daily pioneer live during the 19th century. It was amazing. From a petting zoo, crafts, mock trial and school house the kids had a blast! Note Brooke's picture in the school house. Can't see teachers doing that today!
