Day Nine.....Sea World!

Today we went to Sea World and had a blast!! We were so excited we actually arrived at the park an hour and a half before it opened. Oops! It felt a little like Wally World. So we decided to take a short trip to see the Star of India and a submarine at a port not too far. Then it was back to Sea World. Our day started with a purchase of five sweatshirts because it was only 66 degrees and overcast. Elyse was thrilled to see an entire area dedicated to her BFF, Elmo! She couldn't understand that you have to wait in line to ride the rides. Poor little thing just sobbed until the ride started. Then it was all smiles and squeals; until the end of ride of course. Next was the behind the scenes tour. I didn't realize how much rescue work is done through Sea World. God bless the people there that help all of the animals. We met Bruce the sea turtle. Poor guy is a repeat offender. They first rescued him from a gunshot wound to the neck and was released. He was then found starving. But breathe easy, he is doing better and may stay at Sea World.
Dalton's favorite part of the day was petting the sharks. Eeeks! We only lost two fingers. The great whites were very hungry!
Doug took Paige, Dalton, and Brooke on the roller coaster. Paige cried, Dalton screamed, and brave Brooke just giggled. While waiting for their turns on the roller coaster I spotted the "Child Swap" sign. At one point Elyse is on the ground crying and I asked a lady if she wanted to swap. She didn't get my humor, or maybe she didn't speak English.
Funnel fries... $4.99, small cup of dipping dots times two... $10, five sweatshirts.... half a paycheck, Spending the day witnessing my children experience Sea World..... Priceless.
