For our summer vacation we headed to the great state of Wisconsin. We loaded the car about 8:30 and after a quick stop at GGs we were off! Our first stop was a great little restaurant in Monroe, WI. This was a favorite stop of Gail and her parents on the way to their vacation many years ago. It was a fun little spot with an interesting tradition involving dollar bills on the ceiling. Using thumbtacks and quarters, the waiters toss the bills up to stick on the ceiling. Every two years they take the money down and donate it to local charities. This year it's the humane society, habitat house, and the Monroe theater. So cool. We arrived at the Wilderness resort in the Dells and spent some time at one of the water parks. Yaya made a great dinner and then we sat down to play cards.
