Parasailing!!!

Our last day at GG's and Papa's was spent parasailing. Doug, Paige, Dalton, Brooke, Dan, and Maya took a boat ride that lifted them high above the gulf. I think Maya was a little nervous but she did it. Here are few pictures.
Then we were off to Walt Disney World!  It was a three hour drive from GG's house so we stayed at a hotel closer to disney.
During dinner Dalton casually states, "That lady just collapsed." The lady was an employee who I found staggering in the restroom.  A nurses work is never done. I was saddened by the lack of concern that was shown by her coworkers.
After dinner we were off to downtown disney. It was really crazy but fun to begin the immersion of Walt Disney World!

Santibel beach

This was our second day at the beach. We had so much fun. Uncle Dan helped transform the kids into mermaids and one merman. Most of the group took a long walk down the beach but Brooke and I stayed back to play in the water. She was fascinated by the warm and cold spots. I on the other hand tried not to think about what was causing them. We saw a very famous person from the North Pole! I asked Brooke if she thought that was Santa and she said," Mom, just because he is old, fat, has a white beard and is wearing red swim trunks doesn't make him the real Santa."
She was shocked to hear that he stopped to talk to GG and Elyse and we was the real thing!!! Maybe Mom isn't so dumb after all.
One thing I love about vacation is those little moments I get with each of the kids. I am amazed how different they all are. I am truly blessed.

Beach babies!

My day started at 5:40 with Yaya. I think I may be the only person to start a running program while on vacation.   It feels good to start running again but I am taking small steps. After breakfast we went to Fort Myers Beach. We had so much fun. Doug, Dan and the big kids headed out to parasail but quickly returned when lightening was spotted. They rescheduled for Saturday.
It was time for a kayak ride when we came back to the house. After that, Doug made an amazing steak dinner. And if course the day ended with a game of Apples to Apples and a round of hate your neighbor.
